2. Precision Pre-expansion
The polystyrene marvelously expands, thanks to the pentane's role as a blowing catalyst. Below is a showcase of a bead pre-expanded with a state-of-the-art fluidity bed dryer.
3. Masterful Molding
To craft the pattern section, pre-expanded EPS beads are expertly propelled via a fill gun into a permanent metallic mold using air compression. Inside, these beads meld during heating, forming the desired pattern geometry. Discover the detailed molding process below.
4. Artful Pattern Section Assembly and Mounting
Complex geometries are ingeniously divided into simpler sections. After foaming and drying, these sections are meticulously assembled into a cohesive pattern and mounted on a gating system, creating a sophisticated cluster.
5. Exquisite Coating of the Clusters
The meticulously assembled clusters are immersed in a water-based refractory coating, achieving a uniform layer approximately 2mm thick, enhancing their resilience.
6. Expert Mold Filling
Positioned gracefully in a flask, the coated cluster is enveloped in quartz sand, systematically filled using a sand raining feeder. Vibration ensures the sand is compacted thoroughly, leaving only the sprue visible.
7. Precision Casting
A meticulously positioned down sprue aligns over the EPS sprue, guiding molten metal into the gating system of the foam pattern. The molten metal intricately decomposes the EPS cluster, filling the mold cavity with precision. Examine the detailed decomposition process below.

With the solidification of the molten metal, the casting emerges, advancing to the subsequent phase for expert cleaning and refinement.
