Lost foam casting, also known as full mold casting, is a new casting method, in which foam models with the same size as castings are coated with refractory materials and dried, buried in dry quartz sand or pearl sand, and forsterite sand is used for vibration molding, and then cast under negative pressure to vaporize the foam model, liquid metal occupies the position of the model, and the casting is formed after solidification and cooling.
The production of lost foam casting moulding line is generally divided into three sections: "white area", "yellow area" and "black area". The "white area" is the pattern part, the main production equipment is: pre-foaming machine, molding machine, cutting machine, bonding machine, etc. The "yellow area" is the paint coating and drying part, the main production equipment is: paint preparation machine, paint mixer, pattern dip coating machine, pattern drying room, etc.The "black zone" is the moulding system,the pouring system, the sand reclamation system, and the casting shot blasting system. The main production equipment includes: moulding vibrating table, moulding box, vacuum negative pressure system, melting and pouring equipment, hydraulic turnover machine, used sand cooling and reclamation system, casting shot blasting equipment, etc.
Lost mold casting process:
1. Lost mold casting process machine - white mold The finished products or purchased white molds are combined according to the requirements of the casting, bonded with cold adhesive or hot melt adhesive, and the gaps are repaired with EPC repair paste, coated and dried. In this process, attention should be paid to the density of the white mold, the use of glue, the use of repair paste, the quality of the coating and whether it is suitable for the casting, the temperature and humidity of the drying chamber and other details.
2. Lost mold casting process - packaging The sand box is placed on the shaking table, and the EPC model after drying is placed in the sand box, and the cluster is arranged reasonably according to the size of the sand box. The sand box should be compacted, and the sand return system of the general contract production line of Yangrong Project should be used to fill the sand to the full box. After filling, lay flat on top with clinker cloth and cover with sand. In this process, it should be noted that the bottom of the sand box should be laid with a layer of sand, and the clustering of the model should be reasonably planned. Half of the small block can be put 2 layers, the large block can be put 1 layer, the flow process of hot metal should be planned well, there is no gap of iron leakage, and some castings should pay attention to the inclination. During the whole process, the platform should vibrate 2-3 times.
3. Lost mold casting process - vacuum The sand box is transported to the vacuum or pouring area, and the pouring bag is placed at the gate. Pay attention to the pressure when vacuuming. Different castings require different pressures.
4. Lost mold casting process The molten iron of the electric furnace is introduced into the pouring riser, the sand box is transported to the drop sand area, the casting is discharged, and the sand enters the circulation system.
