1. Source Material for the Pattern
This stage is the cornerstone of successful lost foam casting. Choose the material wisely based on casting specifications. For aluminum die castings, we prefer expandable polystyrene infused with pentane, which acts as a potent blowing agent.

3. Molding

4. Pattern Section Assembly and Mounting
Complex pattern geometries are ingeniously divided into simpler sections. After meticulous foaming and drying, these sections are assembled into a complete pattern, strategically mounted on a gating system for seamless cluster formation.
5. Coating of the Clusters
The meticulously assembled clusters are immersed in a water-based refractory coating, achieving an ideal thickness of approximately 2mm, enhancing durability and precision.
6. Mold Filling
The coated cluster finds its place in a flask, filled with quartz sand administered by a sand raining feeder. Vibrations compact the sand, ensuring the cluster is fully embedded, with the sprue remaining visible.
7. Casting
A strategically aligned down sprue directs molten metal into the EPS sprue. As it flows, the molten metal dissolves the EPS cluster, intricately filling the mold cavity with precision. Delve into the decomposition process exhibited below.
8. Demolding
Following solidification of the molten metal, the casting emerges in its formed state. The castings advance to subsequent steps for detailed cleaning and refinement.
9. Sand Processing Department
After demolding, the used sand is efficiently transported to the processing system for thorough recycling and sustainable reuse.
