This foundational stage is pivotal for achieving excellence in lost foam casting. The material should be chosen meticulously based on specific casting requirements. When crafting aluminum die castings, our go-to choice is expandable polystyrene imbued with pentane, serving as a potent blowing agent that ensures proficiency. For cast iron and steel parts, the solution lies in a sophisticated copolymer blend of EPS and EPMMA.

2. Pre-expansion Phase
Witness the marvelous expansion of polystyrene, orchestrated by the dynamic action of pentane as a blowing agent. Below, we illustrate a bead elegantly pre-expanded using an ingenious fluidity bed dryer.
3. Molding Process Unveiled
In crafting the actual pattern section, pre-expanded EPS beads are expertly propelled through a fill gun into a durable metallic mold by compressed air force. 4. Pattern Section Assembly and Strategic Mounting
